Aktobe resident fined for leading a religious association

ASTANA . November 22. KAZINFORM - Prosecutor's Office of Martuk area has revealed the fact of organizing an illegal religious organization.
A resident of Martuk village for a long time has been professing a religious movement "International Council of Evangelical Christians-Baptists", he organized collection of fellow adherents in his village.
The man collected a community on Sundays for religious ceremonies and worship, thus enabling management of unregistered religious organization according to the district prosecutor's office.
According to Article 3, point 11 of Law "On Religious Activity and Religious Associations" the activity of not registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan religious associations is prohibited.
The man was brought to administrative responsibility and must pay a fine in the amount of 100 MCI (monthly calculated index).
