Aktobe region to launch 100 new productions by 2014

AKTOBE. February 2. KAZINFORM /Samal Yendibayeva/ Governor of Aktobe oblast Yeleusin Sagindikov has met today with the local executives for discussing the implementation of the annual President's Address to the Nation.

Akims of the municipalities, mayor of the city, deputies of the regional maslikhat, heads of the regional departments, trade unions, NGOs, veterans, etc took part in the meeting.

"The country's economic progress is closely connected with the economic progress of our region. In the past six years we have performed huge work on its consistent industrial-economic development", Y. Sagindikov noted.

In 2010 the region put 24 facilities into operation under the State Forced Industrial-Innovative Development Program which makes 18% of the total amount of the projects implemented the countrywide.

"Our region is leading in industrialization process. We are not going to slow down the paces of economic development. On the contrary, we plan to launch about 100 new large productions by 2014", the governor of Aktobe oblast stressed.

The akims of the municipalities were tasked to consider the prospects of development of beef cattle husbandry in the region. Besides, issues concerning modernization of the housing and utilities sector, drinking water supply and modernization of education and healthcare spheres were discussed the meeting.
