Aktobe region could become one of biggest meat exporters in Customs Union

AKTOBE. April 13. KAZINFORM /Samal Yendibayev/ Aktobe region could become one of the largest meat exporters in the Customs Union. Head of the Kazakh President's Administration Aslan Mussin said it at a meeting with Aktobe residents on Wednesday.
He said that the local authorities should prioritize the development of livestock agriculture. "Climate in the region is changing. All efforts invested in the development of crop production are in vain. Enormous public and private resources were spent during a three-year drought, but nothing returns," Mussin emphasized.
According to him, cattle breeding is the most stable sector of agriculture. "When you create normal conditions, the region could become one of the major meat exporters in the Customs Union," he added.
Besides, he noted the importance of provision of centralized water supply services and supply of gas to the localities.
