Aktobe man sentenced to 17-year jail term for pedophilia

AKTOBE. KAZINFORM - A 48-year-old man from Shalkar village has been sentenced to 17 years in prison on pedophilia charges by a specialized criminal court of Aktobe region.
The court convicted A. Kaliyev on Friday of sexually assaulting an underage boy. According to materials in the case, the convict constantly raped his own 14-year-old nephew from October 2010 till July 2014. He also threatened to beat and kill the boy. The court's decision has not come into force yet and the defendant may still appeal a guilty verdict.
