Akimats' staff to be punished for delayed housing for orphans

ASTANA. February 21. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan will penalize workers of Akimats for delayed housing for orphans," Vice-Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Sayat Shayakhmetov announced today at the joint board meeting of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Health.
According to him, the Ministry of Education and Science, has developed and submitted to the members of the Parliament a draft law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on issues of housing rights of orphans and children deprived of parental care."
"If the draft is adopted, orphans would have the first right to receive housing from the State Housing Fund. There will be administrative liability of officials of local executive bodies for failure to ensure the rights of children in this category of housing," S. Shayakhmetov informed.
