Akhmetov meets with ESCAP Executive Secretary Noeleen Heyzer

ASTANA. November 30. KAZINFORM Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov met with Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Noeleen Heyzer in Tashkent yesterday, Kazinform has learnt from primeminister.kz.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and ESCAP, as well as the activities of the ESCAP Subregional Office for North and Central Asia (SRO-NCA), which opened in 2011 in Almaty.
Akhmetov praised the efforts of ESCAP in the implementation of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia, trade and transit policy of Kazakhstan and spoke "for further assistance to ESCAP in promoting Kazakh programs on global energy policy and "Green Bridge" initiative.
