Air Astana to spend more than 1 bln dollars for purchasing 15 aircrafts

ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Air Astana Company will spend more than one billion dollars to purchase 15 aircrafts. Company's CEO Peter Foster has told a board meeting of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

According to him, a certain portion of purchases will be financed from own resources of the company, another part - attracted via export-credit agencies of the European Union and the U.S.A.
At present, the company placed an order for purchase of six aircrafts Airbus 320, four Boeing 767, two Embraer 190, three Boeing 787. The total amount of investments in these projects makes over USD one billion.
