«Air Astana» liner makes emergency landing

ASTANA. August 22. KAZINFORM - "Air Astana" company's airliner has made an emergency landing at the Astana airport, according to Tlek Abdrakhimov, the company's public affairs coodinator said.
"On August 21 Boeing 767 aircraft performing flight KC954 (Astana - Almaty) returned to the departure airport in connection with suspected smoke in the passenger compartment", said Abdrakhimov.
"After the emergency landing the engineering service started troubleshooting. According to the results there has been revealed a failure in one of the two air-conditioning systems. Passengers from Boeing 767 departed to Almaty by the reserve plane after 7 hours", concluded the airline's representative.
