Air Astana and Turkish Airlines signed Code sharing Agreement

ALMATY. June 4. KAZINFORM – “Air Astana” from Central Asia and “Turkish Airlines” from Europe, being awarded by Skytrax agency, signed Code sharing Agreement on routes between Kazakhstan and Turkey served by both air carriers. The signing ceremony involving Peter Foster, the Head of "Air Astana" JSC, and Temel Kotil, the Head of “Turkish Airlines” JSC, was held on June 3 the current year in Cape Town (South Africa), the press service of the Kazakh airline reports.

The foundation for greater cooperation between Air Astana and Turkish Airlines was laid in March 2013 via signing of a letter of intent which would allow passengers of both airlines to plan their journey in a more flexible manner and to select the most advantageous interlinings with the joint flights accessible through code sharing. In addition, code sharing on flights Almaty - Istanbul and Astana - Istanbul will also include a special prorate agreement for both airlines’ routes flying from the respective hubs in Almaty, Astana and Istanbul.

As a result, customers are able to take advantage of the wide route network of Turkish Airlines and convenient hub airline in Istanbul ", said P.Foster, Air Astana President.
