ASTANA. June 11. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ The Governments of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates signed agreement on construction of ?Abu-Dhabi Plaza? complex in Astana.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev from Kazakhstan?s side. The Arab company ?Aldar Properties? plans to build this complex in Astana. It will be the highest building in Central Asia. The architect is Norman Foster. Abu-Dhabi Plaza is a complex of several towers around the main 88-storey building. It will consist of 450 apartments of medium and upper class and two hotels. The estimated cost of the project is over USD 1 billion. The construction is planned to be started in July 2009 and finished by 2012.
