Adele will sing theme to new James Bond film Skyfall

LONDON. October 3. KAZINFORM It is not quite the stuff of an Ian Fleming novel, but the mystery over who will sing the theme song for the new James Bond film has been resolved with official confirmation that Adele has got the part.
Speculation had mounted that the 24-year-old singer from north London would sing the title song to Skyfall ever since an interview she gave last year, and on Monday she finally announced that the song would be released this Friday - at 00:07 BST.
Adele will be following in the shoes of Shirley Bassey (who sang the themes to Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker), Tina Turner (GoldenEye) and Madonna (Die Another Day). The first Bond film, Dr No, received its premiere on 5 October 1962, the day chosen for the release of the Skyfall song, Xinhua reports.
