ADB to provide $222mln to finance investment projects in Kyrgyzstan
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is to offer 74.8 million US dollars of grant funding and 147.2 million US dollars of preferential loans to finance investment projects and programs in Kyrgyzstan, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

The Bank is extending a loan of up to 40 million US dollars for the CA country’s climate- and disaster-resilient water resources management. The ADB is to lend $65mln to expand access to affordable and energy efficient housing in Kyrgyzstan.
The ADB funding initiatives also include climate-sensitive reform under a Policy-Based Loan (PBL) ($50mln), modernization of low-carbon municipal buildings in Bishkek under the SEFF 2 (Sustainable Energy Financing Facility) ($3mln), efforts to promote the Business Service Center under the SEFF 2 ($1mln), renewable energy sources development under the SEFF 2 (floating solar power plant at the HPP 5 reservoir) ($530,000), economic corridor Almaty-Bishkek ($37.5mln), and energy efficiency of public buildings ($25mln).
