According to exit-poll results incumbent President N. Nazarbayev had prevailing amount of votes

ALMATY. April 3. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilinskaya/ In accordance with the results of the social survey - exit-poll, which was held by the Association of Sociologists and Political Scientists of Kazakhstan on April 3 in 14 regions of the country and in Astana and Almaty cities, incumbent President Nursultan Nazarbayev had prevailing amount of people's votes.

94,82 percent of people voted for N. Nazarbayev at these elections.

Gani Kassymov is second. 2,17 percent of people voted for him. Zhambyl Akhkmetov had 1,57 percent of votes and another candidate Mels Yeliussizov finished with 1,44 percent of votes.

According to president of the Association of Sociologists and Political Scientists of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhamal Bekturganova the voter turnout of Kazakhstan made 84,9 percent at these elections.

The exit-poll is held in accordance with the Election Law of Kazakhstan and does not influence the work of election commissions and have no impact on voters' choice. The results will be provided in a composite form and after the elections are over only.

The interviewers of the Association were at the voting stations from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
