ASTANA. KAZINFORM - About 900 people cannot return to their houses in Karaganda region because of flooding, representative of the committee of emergency situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Ruslan Imankulov informed.
"The rescue teams are still working in Mustafin village in Bukhar-Zhyrau district of Karaganda region. The food services areas are working as well as medical stations and psychiatrists. 893 residents cannot return to their houses yet because of the flooding," R. Imankulov said.
He also informed that the rescue teams work on dewatering the houses and areas in general. "80 residents of Tassaut village of Nura district returned to their houses already. However, another 56 people are still out of their houses waiting for the water to be pumped out. The water level is being constantly monitored," he added.
