About 500 DIA workers partake in mass bike ride

Rustam Kalin, deputy head of personnel management of the DIA, Astana city:

"We all liked it, we started at 6.00 in the morning riding across the streets. All the more so traffic is fast in the daytime, and it's really great to ride across empty streets with your colleagues and feel the ethos of sport. The weather is good today, it's sunny. I think we've got the energy boost not only for today, but for a week until the Day of the Kazakhstani police".

Aigul Nurzhigitova, migration service police captain of the DIA, Astana city:

"The mood is wonderful. I love my job, my service and Astana. I'm really glad to take part in this bike ride. I which everyone success and professional achievements".

The marathon is to enhance a positive image of the Kazakhstani law-enforcement agencies, and to promote healthy lifestyle among the population. It is held on the annual basis, and the number of participants increases year after year. Veterans of internal affairs agencies are also involved.

Esim Tanabergenov, chairman of the DIA Council of veterans, Astana city:

"I've taken part in this bike ride for the second year in a row. It's a great and joyful arrangement, especially when veterans take part together with young employees. This gives an impetus. Health and fitness of our workers will contribute to good execution of obligations by the personnel".

The route of the bike ride amounted to 7 km - from "Atameken" complex to "Kazakh eli" square. Participants were accompanied by the road police carriages, and a motorcycle escort. The marathon is confined to the Day of the Kazakhstani police, June 23, astana.kz reported.
