"In January-August 2013, the number of incomers in Astana city reduced by 22,2%, and the number of people who left the city reduced by 21,6%, in comparison with January-August 2012", - it is reported in the message.
Major migration exchange of the city happens by means of interregional migration: 16 268 people arrived in January-August 2013, and 8 928 people departed.

So, Astana has a positive migration balance with CIS countries: Uzbekistan (+ 429 people), Kyrgyzstan (+ 187 people), Russian Federation (+ 52 people), Azerbaijan (+ 26 people), Armenia (+ 16 people), Tajikistan (+ 10 people), Ukraine (+ 7 people) and Turkmenistan (+2 people).
With other countries, positive migration balance can be monitored with China (+ 260 people), Mongolia (+ 33 people), Turkey (+ 26 people), Georgia (+ 7 people) and USA (+ 5 people). It's worth noting that in migration structure the most part belong to Kazakh nationality - 87% of all the incomers and 85,5% of the number of those who departed. Among people, who arrived and departed, the number of Russian people amounts to 7% and 9,3%, Ukrainians - 0,9% and 1,1%, Koreans - 0,8% and 0,5%, Tatars - 0,7% and 0,9%, Germans - 0,5% and 0,8%, other nationalities - 3,1% and 1,9%, correspondingly.
