About 1 mln fingerlings released into Syrdarya

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - About 1 million of carp, silver carp and grass carp fingerlings, grown in Kamyshlybashsk fish hatchery, has been released into the waters of the Aral-Syrdarya basin, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
"This year, for the conservation of biodiversity of the Aral-Syrdarya basin KZT 207 million have been allocated under the state program "Conservation and restoration of fish resources and other aquatic animals". These funds were allocated for growing of 14.8 million of fingerlings and 0,42 million of two-year old carps and herbivorous fishes," said the press service. Total in 2014 state enterprises plan to release in the natural habitat more than 168 million fingerlings of valuable species of fish includig sturgeon, whitefish, carp and herbivorous fishes.
