Abdullah II of Jordan awarded Kazakhstan’s highest order

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev bestowed Altyn Qyran Order (the Order of the Golden Eagle), the highest order in Kazakhstan, to Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, Akorda reports.

In his speech, President Tokayev highlighted the strong partnerships Kazakhstan and Jordan enjoy as well as the considerable contribution Abdullah II of Jordan made to strengthening Kazakh-Jordan relations.

Thanks to the unwavering support of Your Highness, our countries have deepened cooperation in spheres of mutual interest from economic and investment interaction to cultural and educational exchanges. Being an outstanding statesman, advocate of peace and a man of great wisdom, you continue to inspire a lot of people around the world. The people of Kazakhstan treat you with deep respect, said President Tokayev.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, ‘Jordan is not only our partner but a true friend, in which we take pride’.

Under your wise leadership, Jordan plays a key role in strengthening regional stability, interfaith dialogue and promoting humanitarian activities. These values are echoing Kazakhstan’s commitment to peace, tolerance and diplomacy. Largely due to your efforts and unwavering personal support, we look forward to our cooperation with great optimism and new hopes, added the President.

On his part, Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan for the highest Altyn Qyran Order.

Earlier it was reported that on February 18, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had arrived in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for an official visit.

During the talks, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Abdullah II of Jordan to pay a visit to Kazakhstan.
