Abay readings are held in Semey

SEMEY. September 11. KAZINFORM /Lina Slavina/ X National Abay Readings among secondary schools students has been started in Semey. The annual national contest is held to propagate Abay and Shakarim's oeuvre among secondary school students.
78 people of 22 teams of all the regions of Kazakhstan take part in the contest. The participants will contest for precedence in several nominations. The contest will be held in Abay and Shakarim complex in Zhidebay.
Deputy of Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament Nurtay Sabilyanov, Representative of Department on Secondary Education of the Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science Roza Battal, university and college teachers of literature took part in the opening ceremony.
