A.Smirnov: Today Kazakhstan is economically strong and dynamically developing democratic state

Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus Anatoly Smirnov has announced at a briefing in Gomel dedicated to Kazakhstan's Constitution Day.

As the diplomat noted, one of the most important problems at the beginning of 1990s for Kazakhstan as for all post-Soviet countries was necessity of choosing the path in the transition period.

"As the current level of development of Kazakhstan shows, the country's leadership made a right choice, offering the promising document to the nation," the head of the diplomatic mission emphasized.

A.Smirnov noted that the main law adopted by the Kazakh people at a referendum in 1995 laid the foundation for stable and progressive development of the country.

"Today Kazakhstan is economically strong and dynamically developing democratic state," the diplomat resumed.
