A roadmap of Kazakhstan, Belarus cooperation expands

ASTANA. November 9. KAZINFORM Prime ministers of Kazakhstan and Belarus Serik Akhmetov and Mikhail Myasnikovich signed a number of cooperation agreements following the bilateral negotiations at the house of government in Astana on Friday.

The Belarusian Prime Minister told the briefing it was not the last meeting for him and his Kazakh counterpart. "Kazakhstan and Belarus are building a sort of 'road map' and have agreed on the contracts of systematic character that will facilitate resolution of the complex problems and provide control over the implementation of these projects," he added.

The heads of the governments set their hands to the Protocol adopted following the results of the bilateral negotiations. In addition, a memorandum between the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies and the Ministry of Industry of Belarus on creation of the Kazakh-Belarusian Joint Industrial and Technological Park of agricultural and municipal vehicles was signed.

The Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus on cooperation and mutual assistance in tax compliance as of 22 May 2000 was inked by Finance Minister Bolat Zhamishev of Kazakhstan and Minister of Taxation Vladimir Poluyan of Belarus. The sides also agreed on cooperation in the field of forestry.
