A.Baimenov thinks there is nothing wrong with lie detectors

ASTANA. November 1. KAZINFORM "The use of lie detectors when selecting candidates for government bodies does not encroach upon the rights of civil servants, on the contrary, it helps fight the corruption more effectively," Alikhan Baimenov, Chairman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs, believes.

"I think that the polygraph detector is a legitimate thing in picking the candidates for law-enforcement agencies and other 'corruptogenic' structures and it does not infringe upon somebody's rights," A. Baimenov told a press conference in Astana.
According to him, this practice is widely used in many democratic countries, including the U.S.
