991 residents of Alatau city on public housing waiting list

40 residents of Kazakhstan’s new city Alatau will be provided with public housing this year, Kazinform News Agency quotes Mayor Arken Utenov as saying at an online briefing today.
According to him, a total of 991 residents have been placed on the public housing waiting list. Of them, 89 are orphans, 343 are large families, 399 are socially vulnerable groups, and 160 are employees of state-run enterprises.
The mayor added that the city plans to implement a number of important projects in housing and utilities sector.
Earlier, Kazinform reported that the city’s budget for 2025 was approved at 4.4 billion tenge. 1.3 billion tenge of this amount will be spent on development of housing and utilities sphere.
