92.5% of Kazakh children aged 2-6 attend preschool organizations

According to the Ministry of Enlightenment, 561 preschool organizations with the overall capacity of 64,000 seats have been opened in Kazakhstan since the year beginning. This enabled to provide up to 92.5% of children aged from 2 to 6 with preschool education, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Due to the construction, reconstruction and expansion of the existing preschool organizations and centers, more and more children get a chance to attend preschool institutions.

As Director of the Preschool Education Department Manara Adymova says, in line with the President’s instruction, measures are taken to improve availability of preschool organizations for children. 

She said that a detailed plan of commissioning new preschool organizations for 2023-2027 was compiled.

Meanwhile, 13 regions, including the city of Shymkent, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Turkistan, Aktobe regions, have already reached a 100 percent preschool coverage of children with preschool education and upbringing..

Currently, there are 11,600 preschool organizations in Kazakhstan, with 1 million children attending them.

Last October, a mobile application Beske Deiin Ulger (Before Your Child Turns 5) was launched in Kazakhstan to provide parents of preschoolers with child development consultative assistance.
