9 new schools to be built in the capital this year

Regarding the program "100 schools, 100 hospitals", the Department of construction has fulfilled the program "100 schools" and commissioned all the required schools last year. This year we're going to commission 9 schools in August. Now everything is proceeding according to plan", said Vladimir Lyutov.

All in all there are 83 regular school in Astana, and the total number of schoolchildren is 94 712. 71 schools of them are state ones, and 12 are private.

It's worth noting that in the year 2013, construction of three schools was completed in Astana: school for 1 100 places in Zheleznodorozhny settlement, school for 1 200 places near "Batygai" residential compound, and an addition for 600 places at school No 19.
