9 killed, 26 injured in bus accident in Northeast India

MUMBAI. KAZINFORM - Nine people were killed and 26 others injured when a speeding bus overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in northeast Indian state of Assam on Sunday early morning, police said.
The incident occurred when the bus driver traveling from Lakhimpur district lost control over the vehicle. The tragedy occurred at 4 a.m. and a total of 37 people were in the bus, Xinhua reports. Eighteen of the injured were admitted to a hospital, while the rest were released after preliminary treatment. Police said the condition of some of the injured was serious.
