80 big investment projects to be carried through till 2012 in E Kazakhstan

-KAMENOGORSK. July 15. KAZINFORM /Lyudmila Malko/ - "Ulbinsky metallurgic plant jointly with Canadian corporation CAMECO plan to launch production of uranium hexafluoride. With the technical support of the French company Аreva it is planned to create fuel assembly for nuclear reactors. These projects will allow to create a full cycle of nuclear fuel production in Kazakhstan" Akim of East-Kazakhstan region Berdybek Saparbayev informed at the IV session of the region maslikhat .
Addressing the maslikhat deputies the region akim reminded that East Kazakhstan is an industrial center of the country, where major breakthrough projects are concentrated.
The anti-crisis program envisages realization of 80 big investment projects in the region to the amount of KZT 439.2 billion in the fields of machine engineering, agriculture, tourism, chemical and pharmaceutical and energy industries.
