80 000 students follow vocational education path in Kazakhstan annually

ASTANA. December 5. KAZINFORM Every year at least 80 thousand students obtain vocational education in Kazakhstan, Head of the Professional and Vocational Education Department under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kadyrbek Boribekov announced at the Thursday meeting of the "Expert" debating club.
In his words, currently Kazakhstan is experiencing the lack of highly skilled industrial engineers and agricultural specialists. According to the data collected by the department, 10 thousand state educational grants have been alloted to train specialists of the professional and vocational sphere.
"560 thousand young people are presently trained at colleges across Kazakhstan. Out of 560, 243 thousand students are educated at the expense of the government, others - on a fee paid basis," Mr. Boribekov noted.
