7th World Islamic Economic Forum to promote coop between OIC member states
Besides, the issues of joining together efforts to combat islamophobia and to promote the ideas of enlightened and civilized Islam were addressed as well. Kazakh Parliament deputies Orynbai Pakhmanberdiyev and Azamat Tursunov took part in the forum recently held in Abu Dhabi, the press service of the Kazakh Senate reported.
The Kazakh deputies met with Speaker of the UAE's Federal National Council (FNC) Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair within the conference. The parties emphasized the role of Kazakhstan in the world arena and expressed assurance in success of the Kazakhstan's OIC chairmanship.
The Kazakh deputies also informed the Head of the Federal Council of the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum scheduled for June this year in Astana. The forum is expected to give an impetus to cooperation development between the OIC member states.
The sides expressed readiness to develop and strengthen the bilateral relations, including the interparliamentary contacts. In particular, the agreement on visits exchange of delegations of the Kazakh Parliament and the Federal National Council of the UAE this year was achieved.
