740 km railroads built in Kazakhstan in past 10 years - Minister of Transport and Communications

ASTANA. January 10. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ 740 km of new railroads have been built in Kazakhstan over the past 10 years, Minister of Transport and Communications Abelgazy Kussainov told at today's session of the Ministry's board.
39, 000 km auto roads have been reconstructed within this period. The volume of cargo transportation rose from 1.3 bln tons to 2.2 bln tons or 1.7 times. Passenger transportation has been raised 1.8 times.
According to the Minister, the capacity of the country's railway lines rose 1.5 times. The number of airline passengers rose 5.5 times.
