7.3-magnitude quake hits eastern coast of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia: CENC

A 7.3-magnitude earthquake jolted the waters off the eastern coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia, at 10:37 a.m. Saturday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), Xinhua reports.

The epicenter was monitored at 53.05 degrees north latitude and 160.45 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 20 km, the center said.

As written before, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 was recorded off the coast of Russia's Kamchatka Region, the local branch of the Federal Research Center of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) reported on its Telegram channel in August.
