700km of highways to be repaired in N Kazakhstan - governor

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 700 kilometers of highways will be repaired in northern Kazakhstan in 2015.
Governor of North Kazakhstan region Yerik Sultanov announced the news at a press conference at KazMedia Center in Astana on Saturday. According to him, authorities of the region have spent up to 6 billion tenge to repair 290 kilometers of motorways this year. "However, half of the regional highways are still in need of repair. To this end, we are planning to earmark necessary funds and increase funding in order to repair 700 kilometers more," he stressed. Governor Sultanov claimed only the best innovative technologies will be used in repair works. "Hopefully, we will completely solve this problem in next five years," he added.
