7.0-magnitude quake hits Honshu in Japan

BEIJING. June 23. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale hit the east coast of Honshu in Japan at 5:50 a.m. (Beijing Time) Thursday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
The epicenter was monitored at 39.9 degrees north latitude and 142.6 degrees east longitude with a depth of 20 km, the center said in a statement in its Web site.
