69 residential estates commissioned under Affordable Housing 2020 Program

ASTANA. October 22. KAZINFORM - As of October 1 of the current year, 69 residential estates were put into operation under the program "Affordable Housing 2020", Chairman of the Board of "Housing Construction Savings Bank of Kazakhstan" Aibatyr Zhumagulov said at a meeting of the Government, the web-site fo the Prime Minister informs.
"The bank and the Akimats signed an agreement to build 171 residential estates with 13,700 apartments with a total area of 885,000 square meters. As of October 1, 2013, 69 houses with 5,000 apartments and a total area of 324 square meters were put into operation," he said.
"By the end of this year, it is planned to commission 74 more houses with 6,000 apartments, while the remaining 34 homes will be put into service next year," Zhumagulov added.
He also said that the number of applications received from investors to participate in the pool increased twofold. So, 26,000 applications were received for 13,000 apartments under construction.
