68 poachers detained in the Kazakh Caspian

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Within 24 hours the Caspian sea border guards seized 20 kilograms of fish of valuable species and 1,700 meters of fish net.
According to the press service of the Frontier Service, border police of regional offices "Coast Guard" and "Batys" continue to prevent poaching activities in the Caspian Sea. Phase II of the joint preventive operations started on 30 September and will run until 1 November. Since September 30, the State Border Guard have arrested 68 offenders - 50 citizens of Kazakhstan, 9 Russians, 8 Azerbaijani people and 1 citizen of Uzbekistan. There have been seized about 37 kilometers of fish net, 684 sturgeons, 5 quintals of ordinary fish and almost the same number of crayfish.
