670, 000 ethnic Kazakhs repatriated to Kazakhstan
Ethnic immigration is one of priority directions of migration policy at present, Nurymbet Saktaganov, Chairman of the abovementioned Committee says. According to him, the Government supports the repatriates providing them with lump-sum allowances and compensating their transport expenses, accommodation and employment.
Prior to becoming Kazakhstani citizen, the repatriates have the right to be accommodated at special support centers and centers of adaptation and integration of oralmans where they can receive free adaptation services. These are primarily learning the Kazakh and Russian languages, legal consultations, raising qualification and re-training courses, N. Saktaganov highlighted.
The repatriates are provided with educational quotas and are freed of consulate charges for receiving entry visa to Kazakhstan.
