6 die, seven injured in Ryazan region bus crash

MOSCOW. January 29. KAZINFORM. Six people died and another seven were injured when a bus collided with a locomotive in Russia's Ryazan region, the press service of the regional emergency situations department told Itar-Tass on Thursday; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

The bus was carrying 15 people, an emergencies official said.

"The accident occurred at 14:15, Moscow time. For unknown reasons, the bus drove through an unguarded railway crossing onto the tracks and collided with a passing locomotive. The precise casualty toll will be announced after all the passengers have been evacuated from the bus," the press service said; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
