6.7-magnitude quake hits off east coast of Honshu, Japan

BEIJING. April 11. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter Scale hit off the east coast of Honshu of Japan at 4:16 p.m. Beijing Time Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The epicenter was monitored at 36.9 degrees north latitude and 140.8 degrees east longitude with a depth of about 30 kilometers, the center said. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
