5th International rhythmic gymnastics tournament kicks off in Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The 5th International tournament in rhythmic gymnastics FIG for prizes of eminent Kazakhstani gymnast Aliya Yussupova has kicked off in Astana, Kazinform has learnt from astana.kz.
The tournament brought together the brightest gymnasts from Kazakhstan, Russia, Malaysia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Moldova. Special guests of the tournament are the world and European champion, silver medalist of the Athens Olympics Irina Tchashchina and the world and European champion Olga Kapranova. Aliya Yussupova is an overall champion of Kazakhstan of 2000-2009, 12-time overall champion of Asia, the winner of the 2006 Asian Games in Doha and the vice-champion of the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea. The event will be held at "Daulet" sport center in Kazakhstan's capital and is due to last until June 22.
