57 projects amounted to KZT 2.4 trln to be implemented in 2010: A.Kusainov

ASTANA. February 19. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ "57 projects to the amount of KZT 2.4 trln will be realized in the country within the forced industrial-innovative development program", Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Abelgazy Kusainov said Friday at the meeting of the board of the Ministry.

He noted that 6 projects out of 57 to the amount of KZT 1.1 trln were included into the basic industrialization map. These are three projects in the highway sector, two projects in the railway sector and one - in civil aviation.

A.Kusainov noted that practical realization of "West Europe - West China" transit corridor project has been already begun. Totally about 16 thousand km of road will be reconstructed and built within the project.

In the field of railway transport 1 400 km of new railways are planned to be built by 2020. "Zhetygen - Korgas" and "Uzen - state border with Turkmenistan" projects will be accomplished by 2012. The construction of the last will provide Kazakhstan with the entrance to the Persian Gulf countries.

A.Kusainov stressed the importance of the realization of the Road Map as well. Reconstruction of facilities and construction of new roads of local significance and streets will be continued. Over 26 thousand jobs are scheduled to be created.
