50,000 people must be engaged in Western Europe - Western China project by August 2010

ASTANA. February 9. KAZINFORM. /Damir Baimanov/ 50,000 people should be engaged in the construction works of Western Europe - Western China transit corridor by August 2010. Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeyev has said it at the Government's sitting today.
"Mega-project Western Europe - Western China requires enormous effort to mobilize people. 50,000 should work at this facility by August. 10,000 units of equipment should be mobilized", he noted.
He informed that tenders to attract contracts and subcontractors are held at the international level. "But our task is to involve more Kazakhstan companies", the Premier stressed.
