5 new colleges to be launched this year - Kasipkor Holding

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Five new colleges will be launched in Kazakhstan until the end of this year, Deputy Chairman of "Kasіpkor" Holding Sabyrzhan Madeyev told a briefing in the Central Communications Service, Kazinform has learnt from primeminister.kz.

"A network of colleges belonging to "Kasipkor" Holding aims to introduce innovative spirit our system. Until the end of this year it is planned to put into service five more colleges in Almaty, Zhambyl, Karaganda regions and two colleges in Astana," Madeyev said.

According to him, in 2014-2015 academic year it is planned to provide advanced training to 2.6 thousand teachers and managers of colleges.

"Quantitative indicators of colleges at the moment are consistent with requirements. But the point is to qualitatively change the content in colleges, educational processes, to improve the material and technical base, to improve the training and skills of engineering teaching staff of colleges. Sufficient amount of funds is allocated for all of this," he said.

In addition, he noted that to improve the performance of colleges the holding company developed a system of effective composition of ratings.
