5 investment projects of Kazakhmys presented in Pavlodar region

PAVLODAR. February 12. KAZINFORM. /Vera Livintsova/ Five investment projects in Pavlodar region with participation of Kazakhmys Corporation were presented at the sitting attended by Governor of the region Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Chairman of the Board, President of Kazakhmys Plc Vladimir Kim in Pavlodar Akimat.

Kazakhmys starts construction of Bozshakol mining factory in Ekibastuz region. Development of a large deposit of polymetallic ores will provide feedstock for production of copper. 4,500 people will be engaged in the construction of a mine and a mining factory. The project's cost is USD 1.5 billion.

Kazakhmys will finance construction of three power generating units at Ekibastuz Hydro Power Plant-1. By 2014 its capacity is planned to make 4,000 MW.

One more project concerns the production of aluminum rod at "Kazenergokabel" JSC. Besides, the investments of the Corporation will help two other companies "Ritam Pavlodar" and "Format Mach Company" learn new types of products and markets.

Akim B. Sagintayev noted fruitful cooperation between Pavlodar producers and Kazakhmys Corporation. He said that the investments of Kazakhmys represented real contribution to implementation of Road Business Map-2020.
