HONG KONG. August 6. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan, at 0714 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The epicenter, with a depth of 42.00 km, was initially determined to be at 35.2424 degrees north latitude and 141.0047 degrees east longitude. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
