5.2-magnitude quake jolts Xinjiang

BEIJING. August 12. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted Atux city in the Kizilsu Kirgiz autonomous prefecture in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region at 5:34 pm Saturday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter, with a depth of about 9 km, was at 40.0 degrees north latitude and 78.2 degrees east longitude, China Daily informs.
