5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes 239 km from Almaty

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Yesterday at 8:59 Almaty time an earthquake was registered 239 km north-east of Almaty.
According to the press-service of the Seismological Research-Methodical Expedition of Kazakhstan Ministry of Education and Science, the shocks were felt as 4-magnitude ones in Taldykorgan, while the magnitude reached 5.1 in the epicenter. Energy class of the earthquake was 10.6. The depth reached 20 km.
