480 people evacuated from emergency area in Ridder town

UST-KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM - A private house in Ridder town in East Kazakhstan region collapsed into the underground Ridder-Sokolsky Mine. Depth sinkhole after a private house collapse in the town of Ridder was 110 meters. Hopper diameter increased to approximately 55 meters, regional Emergency Department reports.
There were no further collapses of dwellings in the area. 120 private houses have been cordoned, residents evacuated to evacuation centers. 480 people were evacuated from the mine owned by "Altyn-Tau Vostok" LLP. The mine operation has been stopped. Gas, heat, water, electricity supplies to the emergency area have been cut off.
