464 applicants won Bolashak scholarship

ANA. August 10. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ A session of the National Committee on personnel training abroad chaired by Kazakh Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev has taken place today in Akorda residence.
According to Vice Minister of Education and Science Kulyash Shamshidinova 464 applicants have won the Bolashak scholarship; 329 of the winners became enrolled at universities by themselves.
She informed that "among scholarship holders there are those who neglect treaty obligations and schoolwork. 14 such scholarship holders have been deprived of the scholarship with full compensation".
The major part of scholarship winners applied for education in the UK - 400 people; 92 applied for schools in the USA, 16 - Russia, 8 - China and 11 applied for universities in Switzerland.
At present there are 1, 367 vacant places under the Bolashak International Program.
