45 foreign school graduates applied to Nazarbayev University

One of the novelties of this year is transfer of students from the other higher education institutions to the Nazarbayev University. Thus, 28 people decided to use this opportunity.

According to www.pm.kz , the candidates can continue education starting from the first or second year of the bachelor program in the Nazarbayev University depending on the level of their preparedness and the number of vacant places in each of the schools of the University, the press service reports.

In accordance with the press service of the University, 23 students expressed desire to study in the School of Humanitarian and Social Science of the University, 4 students - in the School of Sciences and Technologies and 1 student - in the Engineering School.

Besides, the enrollment system has also been changed this year. Thus, there is now an opportunity to study without a preliminary training course. 172 people expressed their intention to study on bachelor's degree program directly this year, without training course. 33 winners of the republican and international Olympiads are among them. According to the current enrollment rules, these students form a special category of prospective students.

Humanists are leaders among the prospective students for direct enrollment - 95 people of 172, 43 students submitted their applications for studying in the School of Science and Technology and 34 - in the School of Engineering.

According to the information of the University, the number of the students who have passed all the necessary exams and now eligible for further tests makes 735 candidates of 4178 initially registered people. Presently, the processing of the results is held and the final figures and the number of enrolled students will be known at the end of July.
