43th annual session of ADB Board of Governors to be held in Tashkent

TASHKENT. May 1. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ The 43th annual session of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank kicks off in the capital city of Uzbekistan.
To date the ADB unites 67 countries including 48 countries of the Asia-Pacific region and 17 industrial developed states of Europe as well as the USA and Canada.
As President of the ADB Haruhiko Kuroda said in an interview to the local mass media, the annual session would focus on the results of implementation of the 2020 Strategy - a long-term strategic program of Bank. The Strategy provides for three key directions; ensuring equal distribution of the results of economic growth; maintaining ecologically sustainable growth; stimulation of regional integration.
Kazakhstan is also expected to take part in the seminars and plenary sessions of the ADB.
